This is a quarterly event designed for those currently dealing with abuse, those who have transitioned out of their abusive relationships as well as advocates for the cause.
These events allow us the opportunity to engage in a positive, unfiltered discussion in a safe environment. It is followed by great food, fellowship and at least one pampering activity. Attendees also receive tangible items that includes clothes, shoes, purses, literature, goodie bags and a complete array of toiletries for themselves and their families.Donate Now
Since the beginning of WIANL, we’ve strived to bring the community together to promote and encourage male involvement, mentoring, education and healthy relationships through community events, radio show, blogging and campaigns.
Every 1st Saturday in November, we host a Men’s Domestic Violence Advocacy Program. We acknowledge every man that attends and give special honorary recognition to a select group of men each year who have done exceptional work in the areas of domestic violence. Far too often, we tend to see & hear about the negative behaviors of men. This is our way to provide as many positive images of men as possible & create a safe space for male victims and survivors as well.Donate Now
We host events throughout the year to bring awareness, advocacy and positive change to the community with our weekly radio show, Boots on the Ground and our monthly newsletter.
We collaborate with a number of businesses and organizations from all walks of life to serve as vendors & facilitators. Looking for opportunities to volunteer? We’d love to have you on board. Request an application in the Contact Us section.Donate Now
The voices of victims and survivors must be heard and respected without judgement. Decisions regarding policy and advocacy have a much better chance of establishing and maintaining positive results when that happens.
If you’re a victim, survivor or advocate, consider taking our short survey so that we can make sure your needs are being addressed. Find your local/state representatives here: http://www.capitol.tn.gov/legislators/ and Register to vote here: https://vote.gov/?1/a>Donate Now
